Roy Hill’s Perth-based integrated Corporate Headquarters and Remote Operations Centre (ROC) provides end to end integration of our operations, marketing and corporate services functions.  Roy Hill’s Payroll team is seeking an Officer Payroll for a 12-month fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for providing accurate and timely processing of the Roy Hill payroll; whilst ensuring the adherence to company employment strategy, policy and all award & statutory requirements. Accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance in SAP by ensuring the Payroll inboxes are constantly checked and all SAP entries are audited and verified against the source document
  • Ensure payroll tax, Superannuation, PAYG and Child Support reconciliations are done after end of the month pay run.
  • Assist employees with any Work Schedule Rule (WSR) queries, guiding them through the process of changing a WSR. Reinforce the importance to both leaders and employees of adherence to what has been assigned and approved in SAP.
  • Assist the Payroll Supervisor with the end to end processing of the bi-monthly payroll and maintenance of payroll policies and procedures as required.
  • Process employee movements including termination in SAP in accordance with relevant approved documentation in the form of Contracts, Organisation Reassignment Forms and email notifications received from the HR Business Partner.
  • Answer all payroll enquiries lodged through the Payroll inbox and /or via telephone within the approved KPI timeframe


‘The Real You’

As the ideal candidate you will have previous experience in a payroll position. In addition, you will possess:

  • Strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Previous exposure to complex employment structures (allowances, roster, bonuses, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislations and ATO requirements.
  • Strong experience in MS Office and SAP database, within the mining industry highly desired. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll procedures, processes, forms and policies
  • Strong focus on delivering a high level of customer service
