‘The Real Us’

Roy Hill’s purpose built, world-class iron ore port facility at Port Hedland is capable of receiving, stockpiling, screening and exporting 55Mtpa of iron ore as lump and fines and has been designed to accommodate possible future expansion. We are currently looking to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor to our Port Operations. Reporting to the Superintendent Port Operations this position will be responsible for safe and effective execution of maintenance plans, rapid response to equipment issues and the maximisation of availability and reliability at an optimised cost. You will also:

  • Assume direct leadership and management of a maintenance crew and be accountable for ensuring that the team executes the required maintenance tasks relating to car dumpers, stackers, re claimers, conveyors, screening and the ship loader to a very high standard and in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that maintenance activities for your section are completed as per the weekly planned maintenance schedules and all results are recorded into the systems provided.
  • Ensure processes and systems are developed to ensure assets are managed and maintained within their budgets
  • Lead the optimal resourcing of your section.
  • Contribute to the development and input into the department’s maintenance management plans.

 

‘The Real You’

As the ideal candidate, you will have substantial previous Supervisory experience working in a similar Port Operations role in a large-scale mining environment. You will also have:

  • A Maritime Security Identify Card (MSIC) and a current WA C Class rivers licence.
  • An Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification is essential.
  • Experience in fault finding and problem-solving with complex equipment including rotary car dumpers, conveyors and stackers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certificate IV Frontline Management would be desirable.
