Seeking an experienced Analyst Operational Applications to join our Technology team.
This role will be offered on a 12-month fixed term contract and will be located at our Perth headquarters.
Roy Hill represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail and port operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Roy Hill’s Perth-based integrated Corporate Headquarters and Remote Operations Centre (ROC) provides end to end integration of our operations, marketing and corporate services functions. Our Technology team are looking to appoint an Analyst Operational Applications. Reporting to the Supervisor Operational Applications, this position is based at the Roy Hill Remote Operations Centre located near the Perth International Airport. As the successful Analyst Operational Applications, you will provide application support and perform effective analysis, optimisation, maintenance and continuous improvement for our systems. You will also undertake:
Translating business functional and non-functional requirements into technical specifications for either the vendor or Operational Applications team to implement.
Coordinating and facilitating business and functional requirements by employing recognised techniques including workshops, one-on-one interviews and data and systems analysis.
Proactively engaging with key decision makers, systems owners and end users to define and understand business, financial and operational requirements.
Engaging proactively with key stakeholders to identify and resolve system related issues.
Perform ongoing Operational Application related systems and application support and escalate any issues to the Supervisor Systems.
Apply established governance processes and standards in relation to all work performed to resolve incidents, manage problems and implement changes.
Keep support and other related documentation updated such as support guides, user instructions, business processes and application lifecycle plans.

The ideal candidate will be someone with substantial experience in an Information Management role within the Mining Industry. It is essential that you have:
Extensive experience in operating, managing, supervising, providing hardware/software support and configuration support for mining operations systems, covering one or more of the following;
Condition Monitoring Systems
Process Historian Systems
Fuel Management Systems
MES (Management Execution Systems)
Fleet Management and Drill Control Systems
Geological Modelling and Mine Planning Systems
Extensive experience working in a managed application environment providing:
Business and systems analysis;
Application administration, monitoring, support and issues resolution.
Previous experience in System Administration and working knowledge of integration solutions is desirable.
